How many people can this location accommodate?
The party barn “Sugar Shack” can accommodate 150 changing areas seated guests when utilizing the inside and out. We have space for another 100+ if you wish to utilize a tent. The house will sleep 8 and the Air Stream will sleep 2.
How much is the deposit, when is it due, and is it refundable?
The initial nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the total of all fees. This payment serves to hold the venue for the specified date of event or wedding and is payable at the time of contract signature. A $500.00 refundable security deposit will be returnable to the client up to two weeks after the event has been held once property has been inspected for any potential damage from the event or wedding.
Can I hold my ceremony here too? Is there an additional charge?
The property has many beautiful locations for the ceremony to be held at no additional charge.
Are there changing areas for the bride and groom?
Yes you will have 3 hours of access to the house and the Air Stream for changing.
What’s the cancellation policy?
In the event of cancellation of a special event or wedding all payments made to date are non-refundable and all outstanding payments will be due immediately. We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change or cancel a reservation. All cancellations or reservation changes must be made in writing. The guest is responsible for verifying that Sugar Pointe Estate, have received their cancellation letter. We cannot refund any advance payment for a canceled reservation unless the estate is re-rented for the entire period and prepayment has cleared. We will make every effort to re-book the property; however, if it is not re-booked, you forfeit all moneys paid. If a cancellation is successfully re-rented all of the rent, taxes and damage/security deposit will be refunded, less a $100.00 cancellation fee.
How long will I have use of the event space(s) I reserve?
You will have a full 12 hours of rental time for the use of the grounds and 3 hours for the house.
Can I move things around and decorate to suit my purposes, or do I have to leave everything as is?
Decorations may not be hung with wire, nails or screws in the Estate House, Barn , Boat House, or tent which will damage the venue. All decorations must be removed without leaving damages directly following the departure of the last guest, unless special arrangements have been made between the Client(s) and the venue. Any decorations being done must be approved by the owners and must be removed the night of the event, by 12 midnight. No red wine will be permitted in the Estate House.
NOTE: The use of birdseed and blowing bubble is permitted only outside for wedding and reception farewells. Rice, confetti, balloons, glitter, pyrotechnics, and sparklers are not permitted inside or outside the facility.
Can I use real candles?
All candles must be flameless.
Do you have an in-house caterer or a list of “preferred” caterers, or do I have the option of using an outside caterer instead?
We do have a preferred provider list however you are most welcome to use your own.
If I hire my own caterer, are kitchen facilities available for the?
We have a full kitchen that is available for your caterers.
Are tables, linens, chairs, plates etc. provided?
We can provide you seating up to 50 guests all other services will be provided by you.
Can I bring my own wine, beer or champagne? Can I bring in other alcohol?
All liquor must be served by an Insured Licensed Bartender. The Bar closes 1 hour before the music has ended, all alcoholic beverages will be removed and placed in a secure location for removal from the premise. THERE IS A NO SHOT POLICY! Alcohol may not be served to minors. Illegal substances are not allowed at any time on the premise. Drunken/Violent disturbances are prohibited and subject to immediate removal from the premise and possible termination of event without refund. No Red Wine permitted in the estate house.
Is there restrictions on what kind of music I can play, or a time by which the music must end? Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live Band?
We have no restrictions on what type of music you can play and we are able to accommodate a DJ or a live Band. All music must end by 10pm during weekdays and 11pm on weekends to comply with sound ordinances.
Is there parking on site? Is there Shuttle or Trolly service accessible to the venue?
We have designated parking and have Shuttle and Trolly service accessible to the venue.
How many restrooms are there?
We have 2 restrooms on property however you will need to make arrangements for additional restrooms for events of 120 people or more.
Does the venue have liability insurance?
You will be required to have liability insurance. Client(s), through Event Planner or Caterer shall maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance including Host Liquor liability, in an amount not less than $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit for Bodily Injury and property Damage. Such Insurance shall name Sugar Pointe Estate as additional insured, and a certificate of insurance with an endorsement must be provided 60 days prior to the event.
Is smoking permitted?
Sugar Pointe Estate is a NON-SMOKING VENUE.
What overnight accommodations do you provide?
We have the River House that can be rented overnight.
